I'm not really in favor of 'don't say anything if you can't say anything nice', in regards to feedback, (although I do think that if what you're going to say is the equivalent of 'you suck ass', without giving any critical feedback, you might want to consider not commenting at all).

Sending someone only this link as feedback made me head desk though, because it's not even relevant to the story! The first scene is from the POV of a character with amnesia who's using mental epithets for the people who's name he doesn't remember. After the introductions no more epitaths are used as far as I can tell.

So really. Someone gave up half a scene into a 80.000 word fic, but took the time to leave a kind of dickish feedback? Anonymously?

Oh man, I finally gave the SGU pilot a go and I'm cracking up here! In the way they intended even! My biggest worry was that they'd be so busy imitating BSG that they'd loose the trademark Stargate lightness. It's dark, but they've still got the humor.
Haven't seen any of the scene's everyone is upset about yet though, so we'll wait and see.

Greer; The angry black man. I find both the stereotype and the character irking, although the latter not as much as I'd expected. I'm holding out for the revelation that he has some kind of deep seated PTSD trauma. It's a very real problem for so many vets, and I would actually be really happy if they worked it in here.

Rush: Airlock his useless ass. I don't care what he says. IT ACTUALLY TOTALLY IS ALL YOUR FAULT. Since I'm being contrary already, I'm also going to go against everyone who sympathized with him and thought people are over reacting with their hostility and distrust.

Chloe: The character I expected to like the least of all, but I laughed my ass off at her chugging down the wine. Booze can only ease parental embarresment so much, sweetheart. And her sad attempts to hide the fact that her boss was also her dad actually endeared her to me. At least she has the good sense to be embarressed about the blalant nepotism. (I thought Californie was bankrupt though). She can't fake cry for shit though.

Tamara: Isn't she a marine? Or airwoman? Or some kind of military medic? Stationed offworld for a long time? What's with the impecible makeup? I don't even bother to put that much on when I go out.

Eli: He's no Mckay or Carter, but he just might be his own character entirely.

Big Bang submitted. Done and Done. The site was acting up and not letting me update for some extra last minute anxiety (though I bet it was a thousand times worse for the mods), but I actually ended up finishing an extra piece that I'd given up on. I think I might like it best of all, even if that one wonky line is already starting to give me heart burn.

SGA big bang is driving me to despair. I've got one scene art piece done and I'm fairly happy about it (today at any rate). But it only touches on like 1% percent of the story (seriously so much going on!). I want to do something coverish for my second piece. I've got several ideas in wip stage and I want to run with one of them, but time is running out and I need to decide which one I can do in the (OMG so) little time that is left.

Reading the Meek, I started wondering about the full names and titles of our Queen Beatrix.  As it turns out one of her names, is the unfortunately chosen Armgard (Isn't that a part of Arthur's battle armour?), named after her even more unfortunately named grandmother:

Armgard Kunigunde Alharda Agnes Oda von Cram.

I finally found a good picture that lets you see Jason's Mamoa's face after getting bottle slashed. 
He's got a scar, but it doesn't look that bad. Nothing make-up can't cover. I was a little worried about his career since I couldn't really tell from IMDB if his latest acting jobs were before or after the attack.

Mood: relieved.

Christ my whole life is a WIP. But I've got a folder full of half written stories and scenes and some of these could be so very, very good, if I could put on paper what I see in my head. Here are the ones I'm most dedicated to finishing at some nebulous point in time.

Should I go for bush or a little roman style pair of undies (with the understanding that I'm a prude). I like the Roman angle, since I now firmly hold that Gwen is a descendant of a Roman centurion.

You could argue about the ethnicity of some of the characters (Aang with his wide blue eyes looks white to me), but I remember Katara and Sokka having a bit more color then these actors are going to get out of a tanning booth.

I had two birth marks removed this week, by a charming process called shaving. Right now it looks like someone doused a cigarette on my boob. If anyone ever asks, that's totally the story I'll be sticking with (this story will also involve spy shennanigans and a ruggedly handsome Brit, incidentally).

Also: 15 year old who cries over being horribly disfigured by a little birthmark. GET A LIFE! I still have a scar the size of a babies fist on my ass, from the last melanoma scare. Do you see me crying about it? No! Because no one cares as much about your body, as you do.

I thought Dollhouse would be the next big thing for me after SGA, but I was wrong. It's GLEE! I'm filled with GLEE!

I've been suffering from a nasty bitter taste in my mouth, that makes even the most delicious of foods seem gross, for a week now. Naturally my first thought was: CANCER. But as it turns out this is a well known phenomenon that is caused by eating Chinese pine nuts... which I kept doing until yesterday. And the messed up taste thing can last up to 2 weeks. Thank you China. Feel free to stop sending us crap products now. 

But seriously; We castrate little piglets en masse without tranquilizers, because some of them might smell bad, but this shit makes the shelves of my supermarket? No wonder PETA is so pissed all the time.

It's interesting, lately whenever I go googling for stuff like gayness, feminism or whatnot I end up on this Dutch/Maroccan forum.
While a lot (but not all of them) tend to be awfully conservative from my point of view I find it interesting to see how they try to fit Dutch society with Islam. We talk so much about muslims, but we rarely listen, unless it's the extremists talking.
