I ordered a notebook! Mood: Exited/anxious.

Some of you might have noticed the poorly thought out recent LJ updates. Watching their comment section steadily fill up with complaints is pretty hilarious though. People have filled up about 50 pages since I first checked in this morning. If you'd like to add your two cents, you've got about 3500 comments left to do it.

LJ is being oddly slow to give any kind of response. I hope that means they're stuck in a marathon meeting to discuss how to resolve the issue.  

Well, I've done it now. I've procrastinated myself into a corner. I have a 20 minute presentation to give and what I have is not nearly up to standards. And if I skip the class it means an instant fail and half a year extra on my masters degree.

I'd ask you to feel sorry for me, but it's all on my own dumb ass head.

So I'm finding myself utterly addicted to Thor fandom these days, to the point where I'm even writing for Norsekink (except I'm not really good at the kinky stuff :). Figured it was high time I shared my obsession with the class.

Completed (and hopefully passed) my last test, turned in my last two papers... So now I can start on my thesis... *head desk*.

I wish I had a little time to decompress before I have to get started on that, but I selected a hardcore advisor because I am a slacker (and warned her that I am a slacker).

In other news. I saw (big breath): Black swan, Narnia 3, Potiche, Green Hornett and season of the witch, all in the last two weeks. Season of the witch was a sneak preview and hurt my brain. The crusader plot... I don't have words for how stupid it is. And Nick Cage needs to be put out to pasture already. The witch was pretty cool though. Green Hornet shifts between deeply hilarious and deeply annoying. All the other movies are excellent!

According to Wilders: a Moroccan kid who terrorizes the neighborhood deserves to be deported.
According to Wilders: a full grown white man with a criminal record, who terrorizes the neighborhood doesn't even need to be deported from their own party.

But please. Tell us some more how your beliefs are reasonable and fair and that you're not a racist.

There's a petition running to help a trans FtM man get a new copy of his University diploma that features his new male identity. The obvious advantage of this is that he would no longer be involuntarily outed at every job interview he goes to.

There is a rule that only allow the Uni to hand out one copy of a diploma, but exceptions have been made in the past. You can do your part to convince them to make another one here.

My cousin asked his girlfriend to marry him and then after she said yes, revealed that he already had the whole wedding arranged for the next month!

This scenario made me cringe  because she already had one of those super special pregnancies, where even the doctor missed all the signs. She literally went from, 'Let's check out that stomach cramp' to, 'Oops, you're in labor'.
That woman is skipping straight to the main course every time, without any say in it!

So what say you? Crazy romantic, or just plain crazy?
